6:th mystery of Rhinoceroses...

I think Salvador Dalí must have been trying out some secret gene technology in the seventies. [link]

I found this tree growing in Rhino river (image of the river not developed yet)
Photographed in the 1000th of a second just when it, once every 1000 years, spreads its seeds with a loud bang in the middle of the winter.

The vegetation in the background will also be studied closely...

I spent more than a week to get the angle, light and colors right on this one, the background was unsettled but beautiful, so i didn't want to DOF it away completely… :) 14 renders later, hope you like… :)

In actuality, I was quite involved with Dali and his secret gene technology....in fact I was sent out to investigate cloning for him. And even though a carrot was state of the art at the time, he called a press conference to talk about how he would be cloned. I submit this picture is in fact a mutation from a cloned gene aquired from the mustache of Dali

Definitely has to be a clone of that schizophrenic facial ornament. :)
He actually was investigating that area? Of course, which areas was he not into?
Interesting story indeed, looking forward to hear some more ;)
Sad they never managed to clone him...

I am really glad you Like it L!
I can imagine that eventual kiss, even if it feels too surreal to be even a virtual possibility!

The Rhinoceros series was the first time I felt I had "come back" to the surreal places I imagined when I was a young painter.
I will go back to it, I know "the lacemaker" is hiding in there somewhere... ;)
