Playing around with the new dIFS formulas. Never thought dIFS would be this useful. Great work, as always, Jesse and Luca! Admirable! (Excited to see if Luca, or someone else can guess the formulas used)
Just to say I played with those a bit last night, though I did add one more formula to it - height map. Still like yours better but what a great combo to work with - I felt I hadn't even scratched the surface!
This piece is a mind blower bot I did get into it and was able to pull some images in my mind that you may enjoy but first the compliments. You had to have used some fascinating math and tools of your art to create this work. It's a wonderful concept. The layout, texturing, fading, and effects are spot on. The coloring really great for the piece. What I got from this work was 2 views. Either I was looking at a fantastic future image of a plants waving in a breeze with numerous seed pods in different growth stages on them that are transparent. Or the same view of the plants with translucent seed pods them at various places and the veins of the plants in both views are translucent. Bravo again

My guess is you are using helixIFS and sphereIFS and transformIFS, Guessing at the rest: a positional light with vis on 2 or 3 for the sun reflectivity at like .08 and 2 and the colormap that is all horizontal lines with grey (map 2 from standard install).
Close... Aurelius guessed spot on further down: d.IFS AmazingIFS, Helix, Sphere... Right about the sunm, reflect I think was between 0.5 and 0.8... I THINK I used my own color map, not sure, I will check, I use the standard map 1 a lot...
